In the old days, you could switch between four different songs playing at the same time, with the click of a button, on an 8-track tape player. It was pretty cool. Concrete DJ works the same way, only now you can switch between ten different songs with full digital sound quality and no jammed tapes.

With ordinary media software you can only listen to your music on the "default" device unless you are really good with computers. With ordinary DJ software, and two sound card outputs on your PC, you can preview one song on headphones while the audience hears another from your main speakers. If you got cables mixed up, or need to make configuration changes, you have to reboot, sending your dance crowd to their seats.
