Step

| ADVANCED |
| You
may want to load only music folders with
"clean" edits or use different hard drives to
control content. |
|
|
Run
Self-DJ JUKEBOX installation and load your music. Run
installation program and follow prompts to load your music into
the media library. How
long does it take? Just a few seconds if you don't
have too much music. If you have a ton of tunes, it takes
about an hour to load every 30,000 sound files. After
you load your music the first time, it will take only a few
seconds to load your media library database from then on; less
then 30 seconds to load 100,000 items. It takes longer
initially because sound files are tested to make sure they will
play properly and tag information is reorganized and corrected
in the library database. |

|
|
Connect
your computer to your home stereo or a mixer.
If
you want to go beyond normal computer speakers, connect
your computer's audio output (usually a green jack) to your home
stereo system
inputs (usually red and white jacks) using a 3.5mm
stereo male to 2 RCA male jacks cable.
These cables are available for under $5 just about anywhere that
sells electronics. Yes, even Walmart has them.
| ADVANCED |
|
If
you are connecting to Pro audio equipment you have
several options.
1.
Connect to the RCA tape inputs on your mixer.
2.
Use RCA to 1/4 adapters and connect L (white) and R
(red) to line inputs for better audio quality.
3.
Use a stereo Direct Box to connect your computer
directly to your amplifier. |
